The boarding ramp for foot passengers at Rosslare is lowered prior to the departure of the Stena Europe 2848x2136 Z.jpg |
A sign of the times as the track on the headland at Rosslare Harbour is being taken up. With Iarnrodd Eireann (Irish Rail) now using multiple units on most service there is no longer the need to have run-round loops or carriage sidings as was the case in loco-hauled days 2848x2136 Y.jpg |
The terminal building at Rosslare Harbour, the trains no longer stop here but instead a small platform has been constructed just off to the right-hand side. Rosslare is served by trains from Dublin and less frequently from Limerick Junction and Waterford 2848x2136 X.jpg |

The centrepiece of the Barrow Railway Bridge, is the revolving span which allows tall ships to pass through 2848x2136 TT.jpg |
The car ferry which runs between Passage East and Ballyhack. At a cost of E6 one way or E12 return. Not bad value really when you consider the only alterative route of the immense River Barrow is on the main N25 road via New Ross. The N25 linking Rosslare Harbour to Cork 2848x2136 S.jpg |
One fine piece of engineering is the Barrow Railway Bridge, which obviously crosses the River Barrow. The railway runs between Waterford and Rosslare Harbour. At the time of this photo being taken there is only 1 return train a day which runs over the bridge between Waterford and Rosslare Harbour. There also use to be the sugar beet trains from Wellingtonbridge but sadly these ceased a couple of years ago 2848x2136 S.jpg |

Rosslare Harbour again, the headland was - up until recently - used by Iarnrodd Eireann (Irish Rail) for the stabling of coaching stock and trains arriving into the harbour 2848x2136 P.jpg |
Rosslare Harbour, in County Wexford. Notice there is already a boat in dock. At this point we was still about 30 minutes from arriving in Rosslare. 2848x2136 O.jpg |

The lighthouse on the Fishguard Harbour breakwater. Notice a paif of railway buffer stops on the left, trains haven't travelled onto the wall in many years, I can't even remember trains out here when I was younger... 2848x2136 I.jpg |

This is actually the town of Fishguard on the otherside of Fishguard Bay , the harbour is in fact located in the town of Goodwick 2848x2136 F.jpg |
The walkways at Fishguard Harbour which allows foot passengers to walk on/off the ship. The train stops adjacent to the ferry and as such changing between rail and sea is easy 2848x2136 E.jpg |

The Stena Europe in the early hours of Tuesday morning after arrivng at Fishguard Harbour. As with Rosslare, Fishguard also has a sporadic train service, there only being 2 trains in any 24 hour period to meet the ferry from Ireland 2848x2136 5.jpg |
This is Tusker Rock lighthouse which is roughly 7 miles off the coast of South-East Ireland. 2848x2136 4.jpg |
Another vessel which supplements the Stena Europe between Fishguard and Rosslare is the Stena Lynx III catamran. Used only at peak times principally between April and September this can complete the crossing in just over 90 minutes. Notice as well the Isle of Inishmore sailing towards the horizon en-route to Pembroke Dock. Of note I was also departing Rosslare 2848x2136 3.jpg |
