60098 Charles Francis Brush was the first 60 to be stored in May 2004 at Cardiff Canton, then moved to Immingham and now Toton. She is literally a shell, with all salvageable parts being used to cannibalise the other classmates. Worthy of note it was withdrawn JUST 11 Years after entering service, she was also the 1000th locomotive to be built at the Brush Foundry in Loughborough

60097 ABP Port of Grimsby and Immingham was stored in August 2008, being more or less blocked by the seacow ballast hppers it is hard to discern if she has had her nameplates removed

Former named locomotives, 60097 ABP Port of Grimsby and Immingham and 60005 BP Gas Avonmouth reside in Toton Compound, as with many other 60's, will they ever work a train again??

60089 The Railway Horse was stored in August 2008, again devoid of her nameplates

60088 Buachaille Etive Mor was stored back in October 2005 Immingham Depot, whilst classmate 60017 Shotton Works Centenary Year 1996, also seen with 60088 was stored in November 2008

60086 Schiehallion was stored in October 2005 from Immingham Depot.

60084 and 60099 await their next duty - if ever???

60083, formerly called Mountsorrel was a November 2008 store, again she is devoid of her nameplates, naing named after the quarry in Leicestershire.

60083 Mountsorrel, 60006 Scunthorpe Ironmaster, and 60081 Isambard Kingdom Brunel reside at Toton Compound. Will any of these 3 locomotives ever pull a train again??

60081 Isambard Kingdom Brunel was painted into mocl GWR green and completed with brass number and nameplates to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Great Western Railway. After a major mechanical fault, 60081 was sidelined in April 2005 at Immingham Depot, note how it is devoid of her brass number and nameplates

60078 was another locomotive painted into the attractive Aircaft Blue livery of Mainline Freight after privatisation of the railways in 1994, Mainline was acquired by EWS (now DB Schenker) along with Loadhaul and Transrail. 60078 was stored in July 2007 after suffering a major mechanical fault

60069 Slioch can just about be made out through the bushes. 60069 was stored in January 2007 from Immingham Depot

60066 John Logie Baird rests with 60084 Cross Fell and 60099 Ben More Assynt. 60084 was stored in February 2009 whilst 60099 was stored in January 2009

60066 John Logie Baird was stored from use in January 2009, although in the WNTS pool, it can be used at short notice should the need arise

60058 was stored from service in January 2008

60053 Nordic Terminal was stored in August 2008

60044 was stored in April 2009, although over the years she has been in and out of store more times than a duck's head has been in and out of a pond. 60044 was also 1 of 3 class 60's to be painted into the attractive Aircraft Blue livery of post privatisation, the other 2 being 60011 and 60078

60036 GEFCO looks like a "Billy No Mates" as it sits in Toton Compound by itself with a few items of rolling stock for company. 60036 was stored in October 2007

60025 Caledonian Paper was stored in October 2008, as with other named 60's, she too has been stripped of her nameplates

60023 shares the same track as several other classmates. 60023 was stored in August 2008

60014 Alexander Fleming was stored from service in December 2008

60012 was stored in January 2009 from service. Many 60's have been stored owing to the drop in loadings due to the economic climate

60011 was stored in August 2009, as with many other 60's she has been in and out of store over the last number of years

60008 Sir William McAlpine rests amongst the undergrowth at Toton, she was stored in June 2007

60006 Scunthorpe Ironmaster was stored at Immingham Depot in November 2004, she was originally painted into British Steel Blue livery in 1997 and later into Corus Silver, as with 60005, her nameplates have also been removed.

60005 BP Gas Avonmouth was stored in January 2009, many of the Class 60's are being rotated in and out of store, and 60005 has been in and out of store a few times over the last few years. Note how her nameplates have been removed

60001 The Railway Observer was stored from service at Immingham Depot in March 2006, Ironically this is the oldest locomotive and see's her 20th birthday in August 2009.

58028 was an October 1999 withdrawal by EWS from Toton, and as with her other classmates 58008, 58019 and 58023, is a Toton Compound resident

58023 was a July 1999 withdrawal from Toton Depot and is another residen of the compound.

58019 is another resident of Toton Compound, having been withdrawn by EWS in April 2001.

58008 was an early withdrawal by EWS from Toton in November 1999

56046 resides in Toton Compound, she was withdrawn from Thornaby Depot by EWS in July 2002, the one of many withdrawals of British-built traction for the more modern GM Class 66's

37402 Bont Y Bermo sits amongst the undergrowth at Toton Depot in Nottinghamshire. 37402 was withdrawn by EWS in January 2005

08593 was stored from Bescot Yard in February 2008 and 08689 was stored in December 2007 from Old Oak Common in London, now both reside at Toton Compound to await their future
